It is not impossible to use another hair colour after our henna as there are no metallic salts in it. However before using a chemical dye on top of henna, it is recommended to strand test prior to full hair application, as the henna will affect the colour result.
I've used henna for many years and this is the best. It rinsed out easier, gave a lovely colour which improved and increased and my hair is in lovely condition. I will never buy other henna AND it's organic, what more can you ask for ?
I bought this item to get more red tinge on my hair . But unfortunately it did not give me the effect I wanted but i was very happy with the product . I would experiment again with the mixing with another colour
I recently purchased this product from Suvarna and must say after reading some of the other reviews it has exceeded my expectations I have naturally dark brown hair and am just starting to get a few "platinum highlights" which I wanted to try to cover I chose the Henna red because I thought it would perhaps add shine but probably not much colour over most of my hair I hoped it would just add some colour to my greys. I left the product on for 45 minutes because I was a little concerned my greys would go orange!! The result was fantastic my hair looked glossy and supersoft The whole head looked rich and warm auburn which showed when under the light mostly and the greys were completely covered in It created a multi tonal effect that is completely natural. A friend asked me where I had had my hair done and said she had thought I had paid for expensive salon colour. I have NEVER used anything other than Henna on my hair and see these products as superior to chemical treatments with Parabens and ammonia etc. There is clearly enough powder for me to do the whole process again in a few weeks time when I want another boost I highly recommend the product
Having dark hair with minimal white hair I wanted to achieve a slightly red tone to my hair. I mixed this with chestnut brown which I have previously used. Next time I will use more of the red to hopefully get a more intense colour. I think being cautious is best to avoid any unwanted surprises!
