I started using this when I was prescribed a very strong anti-acne treatment that dried my skin out but also made it oily (skin releases more oil if it's over dried I think). After I've washed my face and it's dry, I put a few drops in my palm with a little moisturiser and then pat it on my face. It looks oily for a few minutes but soaks in quickly leaving your face really soft.
I wanted to do this to give my skin a bit of its own rhythm back after being dried out. It's worked beautifully and my skin feels much happier and is clear. Jojoba is a similar chemical make up to skin sebum so if you have oily skin it really helps to calm that down. It may feel unnatural or counterproductive at first but it really works because your skin is tricked into releasing less oil or something.
I have, however had quite sore eyes and a bit of a rash on my neck. I think it may be unrelated to the jojoba oil, but it did coincide with using it. It's more likely weather change/stress/tiredness and I'm very sensitive, but it might be worth a thought as I've stopped using jojoba for a while just in case.
The other thing I'll say is that if you have any doubts or musings, call Suvarna. They were so kind and helpful with me - we talked for ages and I received some very useful advice. Really a gem of a company and I'll always go here first, even if it means spending more.
