This Natural Brown colour is suitable for colouring blonde to light brown hair and grey hair. It is lighter and slightly warmer than the Its Pure Dark Brown.
I've been using henna over 3 decades now , but this one mixed with indigo tones down the rust red & dyes my hair beautifully chestnut with brassy strands inbetween . I also can feel that the other ingredients help with hairloss I was alarmed by a couple of months ago. The longer the dye is being left in the darker the result - happened once after 4 hours turning out earth coloured . 1.5 - 2 hours is enough for me to get the rich chestnut result. I'm really pleased & happy to be able to have discovered this formulation on here . Thank you
I started with light brown hair that had faded salon highlights. When using this product, I was worried about how the color would take. It turned out beautiful as the richer brown that I had hoped for with warm auburn highlights. Very happy.
I had been using It's Pure Golden Blonde for a few years which had made a fantastic change to the salt and pepper grey which had settled in over the years, but I felt I needed a change so tried the Chestnut, and after the first day (which is always a bit scary until the colour settles down) I was thrilled. It goes so well with my freckles and blue eyes and according to a friend, has taken years off. I now have short hair and find that 1/4 cup of powder to half a cup of water is the right amount for me, and I apply it to damp hair because my hair is so thick and coarse. I leave it on for an hour. The best part is there are no nasty chemicals. Highly recommended.
Really surprised at the ease of this product - it takes a really good mixing at first, but easy to apply, no horrible toxic smells that you would get from chemical dyes. I left it on for 1 1/2 hrs, really pleased with the grey coverage, the colour is coppery on my light brown and grey hair.....and the volume it gave my hair! Amazing! Fab product and will definitely use again!
Ordered it for my sister who has used it many times before Makes you feel confident and gives you a natural look giving a good coverage Easy to apply Brilliant results every time Would definitely recommend Thankyou
I have dark Asian hair and left the product on for 2 hours during the first try. It washed almost completely out in the first "wash" (I do not use traditional shampoos, but rather natiral cleansers). I just tried letting it sit for twice as long, so still have yet to see these results.
The smell isn't offensive, similar to the smell of matcha green tea.. The product dries on your hair very stiff, so it takes some work getting it out.. I love that it's natural and teally am hoping it works, as I don't want to go back to using the harsh and dangerous alternatives.
On dark Asian hair this Chestnut shade would be too light for you unless you have grey hair that you want to colour. Your hair should not get very dry very and stiff during processing. If you use sufficient water in the paste and wear the plastic cap it should stay moist.

Grey isn't covered that well in chestnut, covers grey better in medium brown....better than the alternative...going grey!!!
even coverage and natural looking colour. Had many compliments. Its more messy than conventional dyes but more importantly doesn't contain chemicals that people like me can be allergic to. It has a herbal smell which remained for a week because I cannot use perfumed products. Slight dye loss on washing hair initially. Overall very pleased.
I thought anything to do with henna would demand skills. In fact this is easier than any other hair colour I've used, and quicker all round. It mixes well, it doesn't drip. And when you know how long to leave it on in your case, you get a very natural-looking result. With my fine short hair (that had become mousey with scattered white), this is 30 mins only! It washes out easily, and a faint smell soon goes. The even better thing is that the hair seems to absorb the basic colour, so the white stays covered for ages, even if you can't be bothered to freshen the whole thing up! Am sticking with this range.
