I have been buying from Suvarna for many years now. Their products are always ethical, natural and pure as possible. The service is prompt and efficient.
I have been dying my hair with henna for some 30 years and have used many brands over the years. I now have about 30% grey hair, the rest is a dark chestnut brown. Recently my usual brand stopped covering my grey hair properly, so I was looking for an alternative. This henna turned out to be 'it'. At first I wasn't sure if it would work as dye release seemed less strong than with my usual brand, but when I used my normal method (mix of apple cider vinegar and warm water, then oven on 40C for a couple of hours, finally I added about 1/4 indigo (mixed separately with hot water, the left in oven for 20 mins until dye release) and the colour came out really well. The greys turned somewhere between dark red and brown and the rest if the hair is a nice dark chestnut colour. The henna went on really well, the quality is so fine that I needed about a spoonful less than usual on my chinlength, very fine hair. It also washed out much better than any henna I've ever used before. The only gripe I have us that it would be nice if the 500gr I bought would have come in one big bag rather than 5 small ones to reduce waste. But overall I will be buying this henna from now on!
I used to use LUSH caca henna and for a time it was my favourite but with whatever they changed in their ingredients and the price being high compared to quality I needed to find a change. I used many other brands of henna but nothing compared to this! Not only is it extremely affordable but the quality is amazing! I have used henna for many years so I can tell the good from the bad when applied and this was so silky to use. I use a tablespoon of sugar in my henna mix as it makes the paste adhere better and makes the henna apply smoothly. I am so glad that I’ve found my new henna supplier. 10/10 would recommend to everyone
Love this product very smooth and easy to apply , great coverage used 100gs but went on so smoothly could have used half for one application and I have shoulder length curly hair . Bought a multiple pack and they are conveniently vac packed for storage . Great vibrant red particularly on the grey streaks as I'm an older woman so they shine brightly in the sun looking like expensive highlights which I'm too mean to get done professionally ☀️😎 very chuffed xx
This red henna comes in a fine powder and the instructions give several ways to prepare it. I never knew about using lemon juice to release the colour but I'm so glad I gave it a try. I have long brown hair and have been using a block product which was clumpy and difficult to manage. I bought 200g but only needed 100g. I mixed it with lemon juice diluted with a little water and left it all day, put it on about 6 or 7pm, when it had been sitting at least 8 hrs, then I wrapped my hair in cling film and a towel and left it on overnight, washing it out the next morning about 8 or 9am. It's the most wonderful vibrant colour and has covered all my grey, which the block stuff struggled to do. I'll be using this from now on!
after trying few henna now that my hair is 80% white mix with indigo they didn't work I was disappointed because all my life I have used henna & never have that problem. Couldn't be more happy that I finally found certified Organic Cassia. Just follow carefully the instructions and you will get perfect results.
I've used solid henna a lot in the past from a well known high street store, but have found the dye to be really disappointing there recently. This product is so much better! It is much easier to apply as the henna is very fine so it makes a really smooth paste and is also easier to rinse out. I left it 24 hours in lemon juice and the colour was really beautiful and covered my newly multiplying greys!
The only downside for me is the plastic, especially as it comes double wrapped, as I am really trying to minimise how much I use. I would love it if this could looked into.
My first time using henna! It was easy to apply (nowhere near as messy as I had been warned) and also rinsed out well with no grittiness. The color was beautiful and rich on my hair but did not stain my bathroom or mixing bowl. Came with lots of info about how to use it. All in all a great product and I will purchase again!
I've been dying my hair (chemical dyes) since I was 12yrs old (I'm 37), I have had every colour from black, brown, platinum blonde, blue, pink and purple but I have never tried henna. Suvarna was highly recommended after I found I now have allergies towards chem dyes. I saw they had it's pure boxed henna but wanted to go big or go home. I purchased 200g of henna and some indigo (just incase). I cured henna with filtered water and lemon juice (2tble spoons) left for 23hrs to cure then applied. I did make a mistake in not adding enough water constancy was thick icing sugar again my mistake but I'm new to henna. I love the colour it's a deep red at the moment but I know after oxidation it'll be an auburn colour which was what I was hoping for. I'm a henna convert, I even love the smell of henna. I'll be buying more to stock up on. Kinda sad I have indigo I don't need but you never know I may need in future. Shelf life is amazing, packaging I'd brilliant as well stocking up won't take much space. I'm truly happy Thank you suvarna and thank you Tricia for your helpful advice. If you're ever in doubt ask Tricia will help you ❤️
