Excellent colour coverage, looks completely natural, together with excellent hair treatment - feels soft and smooth - for weeks. Have tried all the colours for my natural hair colour - all have been stunning
I have been using these products for a while and have finally mastered them. I am 70% grey and mix henna with natural brown. I use teaspoons of both to achive a great colour. The result looks like I have highlights and have lots of comments. I use hot water and a tea bag for extra colour, mix it, apply it, leave for the full 2 hours..Very pleased to find a chemical free dye as I had severe reaction to a shop one and thought I was going to have to go grey but not to be!!!!
I am allergic to chemical dyes and up until a couple of months ago, used a henna block from Lush but because I am about 70% grey the resulting colour was bright orange. Really pleased with the results, from Logona brown Umber it covered all the grey, no irritation whatsoever. At first I thought it had turned orange but the next day my hair was a light brown and a very even coverage. The delivery was absolutely first class.
I am pleased with this product, I have some grey hair framing my face which tends to make me look a bit washed out. The Logona umber brown turned it a nice golden colour, however I think I will add some of the black colour next time for an overall darker colour. The colour seems to be holding well, it has been two weeks since I dyed my hair so very pleased so far. I just need to experiment with mixing colours until I reach a darker result. Because it takes 2 hours to complete the process plus preparation time it is not something you can do easily on a regular basis, but you can keep this powder to use again unlike chemical dyes which have to be thrown away, so that makes it possible to do quick touch ups on the grey bits only if you haven't got time to do the full head.
I decided to try the powders as I have been dying my hair with the Logona Colour Cremes for a while now and I thought I'd have a change and also I had read the powders give a brighter result and more coverage. I have to agree that they do, I was previously a bit apprehensive about the powders, imagining that it would be a huge fuss and very messy but it really isn't all that bad! I mixed the henna red and flame red colours, two full boxes as I have long thick hair, naturally mousy brown but has been dyed dark ginger with Logona Creme Indian Summer/Tizian mix for a while now. I found the powders really easy to mix and the consistency was great to apply, I put it on my hair pretty hot and it felt nice and warm on my head which was a nice bonus! It does look quite like a giant mud pie but that is also quite fun in my opinion, when else would a childless 30 year old get to play mud pies? The smell is a bit like dried tea or herbs, not unpleasant but I think in future I might add a few drops of essential oil to make it smell nicer. I actually used rooibos tea instead of boiling water as I thought it might help with the red. I left it on the full 2 hours, adding some heat with a hairdryer as from previous experience with the cremes it does seem to make the colour take more, then washed it off. It did take quite a bit of rinsing as the paste has quite a gritty texture, a bit like washing sand out of your hair, but I used some conditioner and this helped it to come out. I could see that my hair was definitely a lot redder even when it was wet and when it was dry...wow! It has covered the whole lot and it looks a lovely shiny reddish ginger which is excactly what I wanted. Using the Colour Cremes I could still just about make out the line between my natural hair and my previously chemically dyed hair (about 6 inches down my hair) but the powders have covered it all evenly so I am very, very pleased. I will definitely be using the powders again as it wasn't half as messy or time consuming as I imagined, definitely recommended. Also big thumbs up to Suvarna as usual for getting my order to me the day after I paid for it

Logona Chemical Free Natural Hair Dye Powders
Great Colours - Anita
Rating:
I keep coming back for this chemical free hair dye. Great colour every time, covers up my grey.
The colour was very even on the sahara, I was previously quite blonde and am moving away from chemicals to natural products. The only ingredient I was sceptical about was the Hydrolyzed wheat protein, it doesn't sound lovely as it sounds like it has been processed and I didn't know if it was organic. That said, the application was natural and I am gradually going darker to match my natural hair colour each time I use the product so I will try it again.
I kept this on for 2 hours and it did cover my grey hair but lacked depth of colour. My grey hair looked blonde. I think I would need something with a bit more colour, say copper even if it turns my hair slightly more orange. Good product though.
Reply from Suvarna: To improve depth of colour you could try colouring your hair twice allowing at least 12 hours in between colouring. Applying heat with a hair dryer can also help strengthen the colour. Logona do not recommend leaving in on for longer than 2 hours as it could cause discolouration.
Like many customers I suffer from severe dermatitis. Logona products cause no irritation which is great! I have also more than the recommended 30% grey but with persistence the colour does build up gradually and the bonus is that the hair seems thicker too! The powders are a little messier to apply than the cream colour so increasing the range of creams to incude brown umber and henna black would be welcome! PS I am a man so would recommend this for other men!
