Tried this product for the first time and experienced a headache on top of my head for a whole day and night after use. The smell of the mixture was quite strong so would advise opening a window when applying as this may have helped....
I have been used the Logona powders for a few years now, after lots of allergic reactions to standard dyes. I have got great results with all of them - what I have found is that the first application (if it has been a long time since an application or is the first time) doesn't take as well, but then subsequent applications cover brilliantly. I have very thick, coarse medium brown waist length hair with quite a lot of grey, and can do a full head on 1.5 to 2 boxes. I have found that I can do a full application every few months, then do a smaller mix to cover my grey roots as they come through. Last application I mixed a little coconut oil and cinnamon in with the water/powder mix, then straight after rinsing out I did a coconut oil treatment. This completely got rid of the henna smell!! That's the one down side with this product, is the smell of hay, and this time it was absent. I also found a runnier mixture with the coconut oil so much easier to apply.
Prompt delivery. Have so far only used it once so cannot say yet whether skin itches if I leave it much longer than 1 hour. I make my own mix - Colour beautiful, but difficult to entirely cover grey roots of hair. But will continue to use it. Elsa
I bought this to try and cover my grey. Combined it with henna black intense as recommended for grey hair. Left it on for 2 hours. At most it gave my grey hair a slight yellow tinge, which doesn't look good. I'm honestly not surprised because my hair is very tough and wirey but I thought I'd give it a go. Won't be using again.
I've been using henna/indigo based dyes on my hair for a few years, but have had a dramatic increase in greys over this last year. As well as the coverage I have been looking for a dye without the red of henna. As much as I love the red, my grey is not even all over, so I have been trying different brands and different colours and at last I have found a colour that covers my grey, is a warm brown but not too dark that it looks unatural for me. Love this product. Yes, it can be messy, but you get used to that with henna based products. It's nowhere near as messy and cumbersome as other products that come as solid blocks that you have to grate and mix.
To sum it up, easy to apply, good natural looking results that covers a reasonable amount of grey...love it!
I bought the product for my eldest daughter (15) who is highly allergic to hair dyes at the hairdressers etc. Not wanting to risk a severe reaction I carefully researched and located Logona products. Well all I can say is DONT BOTHER!!!! The terrible lumpy muddy filth that she endured for 1.5 hours did absolutely nothing. My ensuite got covered in lumps of dye. Two towels and the sink were a mess!! Her lovely long hair looked disgusting. The application brush is useless too. All we could do was splodge the awful stuff down the strands of hair. The only positive is she's not allergic to what amounts to a roll in a forest mud pool! Least the plastic gloves fitted too!
My dark blond hair went really nice and natural looking red, and feels much better for my hair compared to chemical colourants I used before. My hair is quite thin (shoulder length), used only half of the package which was enough.
