Although this left my hair beauitfully soft and slight colour change to a lighter typical henna orange in the ends which had been lightened by sun that was about it. It was on for two hours I had high hopes , even if it had been a strong orange I would have been happy. It was nowhere near Red not even a flame lick near. So I trudged into the city and bought a second pack of henna at half the price and that did the job .
I too was sceptical about the ability of these natural dyes to colour my grey hair. I read up on instructions and reviews but decided to give it a try. I bought Brown Umber powder (yes a bit messy to mix up but not that bad) and put it on my grey roots and left it for one hour. I then added the rest of the mixture all over and left for another. I was delighted with the result - only a hint of red but the colour was very close to my natural colour. Just bought two more packs for the store cupboard!
Great product, hair always looks really conditioned when I have used this product keeps my strawberry blonde hair in check and looks really glossy.. Iíve ordered this product a few times over the years from Suvarna. Orders have always arrived always promptly and well packaged. Will purchase again
Very good for restoring body & moisture, reducing frizz and generally improving the condition of my much chemically treated hair. After two applications over two weeks, I feel my hair is closer to its youthful days. As a colourant, as expected and as clearly indicated by Logona, it does not cover grey hair but leaves it orange-auburn. I would still continue using it for conditioning and resort to organic indigo as a second treatment to cover grey hair.
Tried this product for the first time and experienced a headache on top of my head for a whole day and night after use. The smell of the mixture was quite strong so would advise opening a window when applying as this may have helped....
I have been used the Logona powders for a few years now, after lots of allergic reactions to standard dyes. I have got great results with all of them - what I have found is that the first application (if it has been a long time since an application or is the first time) doesn't take as well, but then subsequent applications cover brilliantly. I have very thick, coarse medium brown waist length hair with quite a lot of grey, and can do a full head on 1.5 to 2 boxes. I have found that I can do a full application every few months, then do a smaller mix to cover my grey roots as they come through. Last application I mixed a little coconut oil and cinnamon in with the water/powder mix, then straight after rinsing out I did a coconut oil treatment. This completely got rid of the henna smell!! That's the one down side with this product, is the smell of hay, and this time it was absent. I also found a runnier mixture with the coconut oil so much easier to apply.
