I used henna and indigo on my hair for the first time yesterday and the results have been amazing. I purchased the products almost a month ago but been very scared to try them on. I often see people with organge hair once they have used henna. I have been colouring my hair with semi permanent dye and decided I had to change it as it was damaging my hair a lot and as I still in my late 20s I didn't think it was the right thing to do for a prolonged period of time. I have black hair and of Sri Lankan origin and I was nervous the products may completely change the colour. After a month of procrastinating, I finally picked up the courage yesterday. I soaked 100g of henna with 250ml of pure lemon juice and 80ml of black tea (soaked 4 tea bags) and let it rest for 20 hours. I applied henna and let it sit for 2 1/2 hours and washed until the water was clear. This changed the white/grey hair into a deep red/copper. After towel drying and a quick blow dry, I mixed 100g of indigo with Luke warm water and applied straight on my hair. I let that sit for 1 1/4 hours and the results are fab. I couldn't have hoped for anything better. Thank you Suvarna - you're a life saver!
I am so happy with this product. I used a mix of 100g Cassia with 5g Henna, 15g Indigo and 25g Amla, to cover grey without darkening the rest of my medium brown hair. It's perfect, really natural looking. The grey is a lovely strawberry blonde/ brown.
Not as quick as the colour should of been, had the cream colour which was useless.rotten orange,it would be nice if the hair colour was for dark hair with gray.but you do NOT have a good straight forward colour for black or dark brawn,so have wasted money trying to get the right colour, not good.
Sorry there is no super easy quick way to get dark brown on grey without chemicals. Most people find they can achieve it with henna and indigo but this always takes longer than chemical dyes. We do not recommend Logona Colour Creams for dark coverage on grey hair as they do not contain indigo.

I recently purchased 500g of pure henna and 500g pure indigo, which I mix together in small quantities to colour my fine hair a mahogany brown shade. The products arrived in a couple of days and I am very happy with them. I will definitely be buying more of the same when I need it in the future.
I have been usung henna and indigo to cover my greys for more than a year. I had only ever used semi perm stuff before that but that still contaibs chemicals and i decided i didnt want to use it anymore. I started looking at articles on line and came across this site. i watched the video amd also others on youtube and decided to not mix the henna with anything other than warm water. I dont pre-soak it either. I apply it for approx four hours, wash amd dry my hair amd them use the indigo for about 40 minutes. After this the greys end up a dark brown. i have only ever orderedy henna and indigo fr Suvarna. Very swift delivery of products and have found them to be very professional and honest with their advice.
I used henna for the first time and I'm more than happy. I've mixed it in proportions: 50g of henna and 17g of indigo (added the second day), put in one application and the colour on my hair is excellent - brown with warm ginger highlights (2 hrs). First, my hair was a bit dry but after two days they've got a beautiful shine and softness. Definitely will use again.
